Yummy Yogurt

By Angela W Posted in Products / No Comments »

Shaws mailed us a coupon flyer for their Wild harvest section which includes organic products and the like.  One was for Yöghund which is an organic yogurt treat for dogs. We decided to give it a try as it was about the same price with the coupon as our normal Frosty Paws (and better for them). It comes in two flavors bananna&peanut butter and blueberries&vanilla. We picked the one with peanut butter of course. They come in cute little mini-pint containers with plastic tops. Very adorable and the boys both seemed to like them. There was much hoarding and plenty of licking. Afterwards they tore the continers to shreds. They are made right over in Exeter which is even cooler as buying them supports a local business.

Pooch Pops

By Angela W Posted in Other Sites, Products / No Comments »

Jelsert (the same company that makes Ice Pops) used to make a product called Pooch Pops. They come in beef and cheese flavors, ten to a box for about a buck fifty. They don’t make them anymore. No one does. Fortunately we started our search this year before its too hot. We contacted jelsert and asked. They told us PetSmart had the remaining pops. We bought 12 boxes, treats, and a new Galileo bone for the boys. Not too bad for $50 to get free shipping, plus the 10% off sale that was going on. Also got a roll of vet wrap for the bad foot in there (Bo will not be happy about that one, lol). Took about a week to ship using the FedEx/USPS cheapo shipping. We’ll be stalking the mailman Saturday when its supposed to arrive. Too bad they stopped making the pops as when we’re out we’ll probably be out for good.

Help Mommy Win a Monster

By Angela W Posted in Products / No Comments »

Last week mommy entered a cute Bobo picture into Bissell’s sweepstakes to be the new face of their Pet Hair Eraser Vacuum. Every week they take entries and allow voting the following week. Mommy of course entered the cutest baby Bobo picture she had to help her chances. If you voted for me and mommy won a vacuum she would be super-stoked. And we could donate $10,000 to Project Homeward Bound. How cool would that be?

KONG Blue

By Angela W Posted in Products / No Comments »

The first I heard of this was in a Grooming/Vet supply catalog. The blue KONG features an even stronger rubber and is available only to vets and police officers. This immediately interested us as Boris has proven himself to be an eating machine. I received an Amazon gift certificate as a prize the other day ans was browsing treats and KONG toys and came across a blue KONG. The seller does not mention it needs vet/police buyers only so we are looking into buying one (well at least one). While I will feel a bit bad about getting around the system, its cheaper than getting a prescription from the vet or even worse, buying it from the vet. He’s going to need one most likely, and I might as well fill my arsenal now with Extreme and Blue KONGs. He’s only a couple more months away from being able to retire his puppy KONGs and he already has all his adult teeth.

KONG is King

So my husband being a doting daddy did some research after I showed him a posting on Craigslist for a KONG gift pack and decided his little monster needed a Puppy KONG. So we took our 15% off coupon and headed out to Petco with the pups. We found the proper sized Puppy KONG and a bottle of Puppy Stuff’n Paste. Borris decided it was very tasty and Cherokee agreed. After checking the KONG site later we saw that they now make a Senior KONG so Cherokee will be getting one sometime soon.

Petstages Toys

By Angela W Posted in Products / 1 Comment »

One of the things I eagerly anticipated buying the new puppy is a line of toys called Petstages. They come in different types for dogs, cats or birds and address different common issues that arise when caring for your pet. The dog toys also come in different sizes from puppy to giant dog sized. We bought one for our parrot and she liked it alot, so I knew they would be perfect for the new puppy as well. Target carries them as well as part of their Boots and Barkley pet line. We bought the mini Orka chew with knots and Borris adores it. Check them out if you haven’t already.
