New Spring/Summer Fashions?

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

Once Bo gets better we’ll be heading back out for some intensive training. We missed out on the TV reality show this season, but we have some time to work on our training and get ready for next season (assuming it doesn’t only go one season). While we’re looking into some safety gear to keep the puppy’s pad safe, Tim will be needing some new duds as well.

Since it will be summer a couple pairs of 511 Tactical Shorts will go well. Fortunately Tim isn’t too picky so the fact that they don’t come in “trendy colors” won’t be an issue. I suppose 511 Tactical Shorts in classic colors is just fine. It means if he doesn’t kill the 511 Tactical Shorts this season we can not have to buy more next year. Its really nice to be able to shop for 511 Tactical Shorts online and not have to drive far with gas prices getting so high. Bo will be thankful as well when he can go out for a nice run with his dad.

The Thrill of the Arena

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

Despite the fact that spring is barely upon us, we are looking ahead to bigger and better things. One of the things that has always meant summer/fall to me is when the rodeo comes to town. I have always loved the rodeo. It comes with such diversity of events.

One of the best rodeos I have had the pleasure of attending is the  NFR, or National Finals Rodeo.  Sponsored by Wrangler Jeans, the one true jean brand for cowboys, it is also know as the World Series of Rodeo and the Superbowl of Rodeo and is held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.  Being such a popular event all seats for all events sell out quickly, so securing Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets can be incredibly hard.

I had the pleasure of watching the barrel racing event one year we were traveling cross country. Even having been a horseback rider since I was 11, its pure magic to watch the competition.  And the fact that women got to compete was even better.  I’ve always wanted to attend again, especially more than one event. Watching it on TV just isn’t the same.  Think if I ask Santa he’ll let me have Wrangler National Finals Rodeo tickets early? I’ve been extra good this year raising a puppy. He likes watching rodeos on TV.

Whoever Said Upholstery Was Boring?

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

Whoever said upholstery was boring has never seen the Vote Up Count Down” sale at Design Diva Fabrics. Part sale, part voting contest, all fun, all discount designer upholstery fabric.
The idea is simple: anyone with an account can vote for their favorite discount designer upholstery fabric. The fabric with the most votes goes into “countdown mode” where the price drops every second.  This continues until someone purchases it. The fabric with the next highest votes is then moved into the countdown mode. Even if you’re not completely into the fabric scene its fun to watch and participate in. There’s even a widget to help you keep tabs on the fun. So if you’re looking for discount designer upholstery fabric check out the site.

What the Heck is a Bollard Anyway?

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

I’m glad you asked. A bollard is a traffic device. You’ve seen and walked around them (hopefully they hurt if you run into them) many times. The are used to restrict traffic, keep vehicles off walkways and bike paths, or from ramming into loading bays on accident. They come in all assortment of types and shapes from collapsible bollards, to fixed bollards, to telescoping bollards, to retractable bollards. The tend to be bright orange or yellow although they come in other colors depending on the application such as black or white to blend in better.
The use of retractable bollards is really the most interesting to me. With only 3-4 inches for clearance when collapsed the retractable bollards allow for easy vehicle access for authorized vehicles (even low ones) and then can be erected to keep out non-authorized ones.
Traffic Guard Direct has every type of bollard, all in one place with the information you need to decide which type of bollard is right for you. Maybe you need retractable bollards. But what type? Single, double, round? With the easy navigation and information on each product you’ll have your retractable bollards up in no time.

Fierce Shopping

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

As some of you may recall Boris’s daddy is a security guard and would like to train Boris in search and rescue. Living in such a rural area it can be hard to find appropriate gear for such work. Thankfully the internet allows us to shop from whatever store we want.
Being a guy Boris’s dad goes through tactical boots like a toddler does through sneakers. He could easily buy two pairs of boots a year but since he buys high quality tactical boots he manages to buy once yearly instead. He likes Magnum boots which LA Police Gear carries and has recently started wearing Altamas as well.
Unfortunately Boris’s dad has to wear the uniforms provided by his company, but he also has plenty of flashlights and bags and other tactical gear to be used both on the job and around the house (I mean who doesn’t need a flashlight that can blind someone?). He also likes to buy Under Armour to make his uniforms more liveable. All of which he can do from LA Police Gear without leaving the site.
In fact the only thing they don’t have Boris and his dad might need is cool stuff for Boris like a spiffy tactical collar and leash or a reflective tactical coat. But maybe Boris can suggest this.

Lead Dogs and You

By Angela W Posted in Sponsored / No Comments »

Everyone wants to be a lead dog. Why wouldn’t you? This isn’t about leading the pack, at least not literally.

This is about leading the pack in sales leads and business to business marketing. Lead Dogs is a  string company that has been used by Microsoft, Adobe, and Orbitz to generate and manage sales leads since 1994. The unusual name came about one evening after the viewing of an ad that said if you aren’t the lead dog the view never changes. Lead Dogs isn’t about to let you get left behind and their varied offerings show this. From every aspect of lead generation and management, to landing pages, and feedback programs they are looking to find ways to help you get more sales leads.
